Zoom + eLearning course – Virtual bundle
ONLINE CLASS: Baby + Child CPR & Choking LIVE on Zoom (+ Q&A) + eLearning First Aid
This bundle includes two parts:
1. Live on Zoom with a paediatric nurse (2 hours) A 90-minute interactive workshop covering baby and child CPR and choking, followed by up to 30 minutes of live Q&A where you can ask our nurse anything about paediatric first aid. The Q&A is optional; you’re welcome to leave after the CPR and choking component if you’re short on time.
2. Self-paced eLearning first aid course Covering all the other first aid topics we teach:
- Burns
- Allergic reactions & anaphylaxis
- Seizures (fits)
- Limb injuries
- Bites & stings
- Head injuries
- Poisoning
- Fever
- Bleeding & more
Developed using adult-learning principles, this course contains the same extensive information as the first aid components of our face-to-face classes. Complete it in your own time – you can stop and start whenever you need.
You’re welcome to complete the two parts in any order, though we recommend starting with the eLearning. It gives you a strong foundation and will help you feel prepared and confident for the live session.
Why this bundle? It’s the most comprehensive and cost-effective way to learn from home. You get interactive time with a paediatric nurse as well as the flexibility of self-paced learning.
Duration: 2-hour live Zoom session, plus self-paced online learning
Delivery: Live via Zoom, with first aid topics through eLearning in your own time
How to book: Select the ONLINE CLASS (ZOOM) session list from the category drop-down menu in our booking scheduler, then choose a date for the live session that works for you. Booking your live Zoom session also enrols you in the eLearning course.
Your Zoom meeting ID, password and eLearning access code will all be in your booking confirmation email. Session times are Sydney time (Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight Saving Time).
Our Zoom classes include live transcripts and closed captions.
eLearning course – Baby Health Essentials
Essential learning for all new parents and carers of babies.
We get it – welcoming a baby can be an overwhelming time… enter our newest online learning addition! CPR Kids invites you to join this informative online course, where we share the latest evidence-based information on baby health + safety essentials. Whether you are expecting or your baby is here – this short course will help you feel more confident and supported when it comes to the advice that every parent/carer needs to know.
Taught by an experienced paediatric nurse this session includes webinars, games and opportunities to ask questions. It runs for approximately 1.5 hours but you can start and pause as you please.
What is covered:
- Why is overheating dangerous?
- What’s fragile about a baby’s airway?
- How should I dress baby for the weather?
- How do I recognise breathing difficulties in my baby?
- Why is a baby sleeping in a sitting position dangerous?
- What is the ‘Arousal Response’ and why is it important?
- Why is a fever in babies under 3 months old an emergency?
- Why is a baby safe sleeping on their back even if they vomit?
- What are the ‘red flags’ that indicate an emergency, when your little one is unwell?

Zoom Private Sessions
We want the essential skills we teach to be available to everybody. We are excited to announce a new option for you to learn from home – Private Zoom classes.
These Private Zoom sessions will be taught by one of our amazing Paediatric nurse educators, at a time that suits you and your tribe. You will have 2 hours with your educator, who will teach you the essential skills of Baby and Child CPR as well as first aid topics as chosen by you!
