Why is there a grape in my child’s poop?

It is normal for sultanas to be pooped out as “grapes”. Yep, you read that right.

Have you ever found a whole grape in your child’s poop during a nappy change and panicked, worried they somehow swallowed an entire grape? (note – always chop the grapes lengthways, into quarters!)

We have a question for you … Did your little one eat sultanas prior to this poopy grape surprise?

It is normal for sultanas to be pooped out as “grapes”. Yep, you read that right.

Sultanas or raisins (when not chewed properly) can undergo rehydration in a child’s body, and come out into the nappy looking more like a full-sized grape.

So heads up, if you didn’t know that this could happen – it is normal, especially if your little one enjoys their sultanas!
