Spring is here! This means snake season is upon us, and funnel web season is just around the corner.
Would you know what to do if your little one (or you) suffered a snake or funnel web bite?
Watch below as Paediatric nurse and founder of CPR Kids Sarah Hunstead explains the correct first aid for both snake and funnel web bites, including a demonstration of how to apply a pressure bandage (Pressure Immobilisation Technique).
While you are here, you can download our free Spider Bite Guide, or check out our blog on the Do’s and Don’ts of snake bites (which also includes the symptoms of a snake bite and a written breakdown of the correct first aid – if you prefer to read instead of watch!)
And of course, don’t forget to
- Buy a first aid kit (we have a snake + spider bite first aid kit available!)
- Stock up on these bad boys (it takes 2 to treat an adult who has suffered a snake/funnel web spider bite!)

3. Book your baby + child CPR & First Aid class so that you know how to respond in an emergency involving your little one/s!
